New School Year!
New School Year! It has been a while since I posted anything into our Blog, so I thought I should do something before the kids are grown. He He! Carleigh is in the 4th grade and Hogan, Yes HOGAN is in K-5. My how time flies. I will post a few pictures of the start of their school year and some of the holidays. I do have a funny story to tell about Hogan's very first day of "real school". Here it goes....as anyone knows that has school aged children, you have LOTS of supplies to bring that first day of school, yes almost $50-60 worth of supplies. So, both of the kiddos have all of their supplies, lunch boxes etc.. all packed and caring them. You see this is not a huge problem for Carleigh, for she is tall and can balance out the weight of her supplies, well Hogan was a different story. He was a little top heavy and on our way in he decided to make the best first impression by kissing the sidewalk outside the front door as we were on our way in. He began to bleed in the middle of his forehead and nose. Yes.. you K-5 ladies he looked handsome and I am sure you will remember the boy that looked like he was in a fight on the very first day of school! To make matters worse, all we could do is give my poor baby a bandaid! Our district has a policy that will not allow any topical creams of any kind, so my sweet nurse sister came by and brought him some with a very cool camo bandaid! It was a story we will NEVER forget.
This is before the kiss of the pavement!

Hogan Graduates from K4
Hogan graduates from 4K! He was so excited to finally be on his way to "big boy" school. He and Carleigh will be attending the same school in the fall...and boy does he think he is cool! He told me yesterday that I would not need to walk him into school, like I do now, next year. I think he is mostly excited about that and that his food will come on a tray! He sees that Carleigh only takes her lunch from home on the days she does not like what the school is serving, which is almost 3-4 days a week. Very different than him having to take his lunch box every day and never mind the fact Hogan loves food and eats just about anything, guess he will be eating "off the tray" a good bit!
School is almost OUT!
School is almost out so I thought I would get back to my blogging. I have missed not putting pictures up on here so I guess now that I will be out as well for the summer, there will not be an excuse. We have lots of things planned for this summer. Carleigh will be spending some time in Darlington with her Memaw and Papa, we will be swimming a great deal at Nana and Papa's pool I am sure, and in July David and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary! Hard to believe we will be married for ten years! These first few pictures are of Memorial day and the kiddos swimming.

Riding Bikes in February with SHORTS on!
A few weeks ago we had awesome weather so I took the kids to my school to ride bikes. These are just a few pictures I took with my new camera David bought me from Christmas! I love it by the way. I will be posting some pictures of Carleigh's Soccer games the past couple of weeks as well. By the way Carleigh will be 9 on March 21st. I just cannot believe it. So sad that she is getting big and becoming a big girl. ;-'(

Halloween 2011
The Jefferson kiddos had a blast this year for Halloween. We went to the church to Trunk-or-Treat. This was the 4th year we have done this and it was a fun filled night. Carleigh is getting to the age of not wanting to really dress up, so she decided to be a Cowgirl this year and Hogan, well he did not have a choice in the matter....I found the cutest Frankenstein costume. All in all Halloween 2011 was a success. The first pictures are going to let you take a peek back into the past to see the kids coustumes from 2009 and 2010.
